The day started with me making my way to the beautiful countryside church of St Micheal’s near Chenies Manor, where I did a brief tour of the area and the church, so I could get a good feeling for the photographs.
Initially I took some fantastic photos of the groom and his entourage arriving, then mingling around the church. This was followed by various candid shots of guests, as they arrived on this beautiful sunny day.
On arrival of the stunning bride and her beautiful bridesmaids, I was able to capture some great shots, especially of their very cute daughter, who did an amazing job as the flower girl.
Inside this old and charming church, where the service took place, I was able to get further fantastic photographs from some incredible angles.
Following the service, the bridal party then made their way to the stunning venue of Latimer House, which is a lovely country house hotel and wedding venue set in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Here was when the bride surprised the groom with what I thought was a fantastic addition to the day………… A vintage fire engine, as the groom works as a volunteer fire fighter.
This made for some amazing photographs taken on and around the fire engine and the joy seen on the grooms face, was great to see.
This was followed by an incredible reception, with excellent speeches and you could feel genuine warmth of all those present. This fantastic atmosphere of joy and laughter was enhanced by the amazing staff at Latimer House, especially the manager who ran the wedding team.
It was a pleasure to photograph a wedding with such a lovely bride and groom, whose family were so inviting. Also with lots of children in attendance, who were a joy to be around, then my skill set of working with the “little ones” came in very useful.
It just reminded me why I am so lucky to do this job.
