Amy and Tom got married at Silchester Farm, which is a GORGEOUS modern barn in Hampshire with an onsite barn house accommodation and two large modern barns for weddings. It was the most beautiful wedding and the sun shone all day long!

Tom and Amy got in touch with me this year, and knowing Nerrisa, I knew their wedding was going to be so much fun. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they were so relaxed.

Shooting laid back weddings where the couples just want to have fun is 100% our kinda vibe!

Bridal Prep

When I arrived, Amy was still getting her hair done nearby at the salon so I had a chance to wander around and explore the venue! Once Amy arrived I popped in to say hello and grabbed some snaps of her and her mum and bridesmaids getting ready, the bridal prep was really chilled with them all doing their own makeup and listening to music!

Amy looked amazing in a stunning flowy wedding dress with lace that she had added herself (A is literally a sewing queen!) and paired it with a few lush gold accessories. Tom wore a smart blue coloured suit with a black tie and dried flower buttonhole and they both looked amazing. Right before the ceremony, I grabbed Amy’s dad for a quick first look photo for him to see Amy in her dress for the first time, everyone mentioned that it might be an emotional one and they weren’t wrong!

The ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate service inside the main barn under lots of fairy lights. During the ceremony there was lots of nervous giggles and smiling faces. Watching Amy and Tom throughout the ceremony you could see how in love and in sync they are with each other. The ceremony was so sweet and so much fun, especially watching each other try to say each others full names during the legal part!

Amy and Tom decorated the ceremony area with gorgeous dried florals, pampas grass and candles, which looked lush!

The reception

After some Pimm’s and formal family photos, everyone headed over to the Cow Shed barn where the reception was being held! The couple had some amazing speeches and heartfelt speeches with both Amy and Tom giving a speech as well! For dinner they had the most amazing mac and cheese truck (did I mention there was a vegan option?!) with a grazing table.

In the evening, after having the first dance, Amy decided to surprise her dad with a dance to an acoustic version of Somebody daugther, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. They finished off the evening with some amazing pizza and hilarious dancing! These two are the perfect example of why you should do exactly what you want and have exactly what you want on your wedding day!

Why Silchester Farm is a great place to get married

Silchester Farm is a new venue and OMG is it beautiful – I love this venue because there’s so much to explore and there is lots of open space which is perfect for candid photos.

Silchester Farm is really peaceful and secluded, and is easily one of the coolest places to get married in Hampshire. The venue has amazing wedding staff and food/drink options – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos.
