Tom & Amy fell in love with Silchester Farm from the
day they walked in and I had excatly the same reaction. Silchester Farm is situated in the heart of historic Silchester, the farm has such a super relaxed feel to it and felt like a home from home. The whole place has amazing style, a sort of modern rustic vibe, with beautiful finishing touches. The entire space has been thought about properly, with nothing overlooked.
This is not just another “wedding venue”
Silchester Farm is rather special, and I know it is only going to get better with age.
Opting for an “unplugged ceremony”,
inside the main barn, under the gorgeous flower arch that their florist (insert name) created for their special day.
Tom and Amy said their vows,
leaving not a dry eye in the house, myself included. It was so very clear to see just how much these two love each other and how much they are loved by everyone else. Amy’s two bridesmaids did a reading together and I think that is what set most people off!
After the ceremony, with the
drinks and nibbles flowing, I took Amy and Tom off for a couple’s photo shoot and to explore the stunning grounds of the Farm. I was simply spoilt for choice, but my absolute favourite spot was the Dutch Barn! I always encourage my couples to take a few minutes
away, to step back and just watch. It was a fab spot to do just this, as it was so peaceful and allowed for some amazing shots.
As the sun started to set
and the meal had been eaten, we then progressed with the speeches, which were very good. Now everyone was ready to party, so they made their way over to the Cow Shed for a bit of pudding, more live music, and a round of different cocktails, culminating in
the couple’s first dance, followed by the Bride & her Father having their dance.
This really was a magical
day, the couple were amazing, their family & friends were great and I feel I captured some incredible memories, for them to keep forever.
